Prepare for Adventure… and Adorably Aggressive Octopuses!
It’s shaping up to be a legendary week at Labyrinth, where our shelves are filling up with mythical creatures, mysterious riddles, dazzling cards, and—naturally—a glow-in-the-dark octopus. (Because who doesn’t need one of those in their life?)
Pokémon Stampede Incoming! (In store only)
Tomorrow morning, we’re unleashing some highly anticipated Pokémon items into the wild! These will be in-store only, first come, first served, and limited to one per person—because we like to keep things civilized (and prevent Pikachu-fueled wrestling matches).
Here’s what’s arriving:
- Prismatic Evolutions Super-Premium Collection – So shiny it practically needs sunglasses.
- Slashing Legends Tins – Legendary? Check. Ready to slash? Absolutely.
- 2024 World Championship Decks – A quick note: these don’t have legal tournament cards (the backs are different), but they’re a fantastic way to try playing with high-level championship decks without the high-level price tag.
FYI - There are probably not enough of the Prismatic Evolution or Tins to make it through the line that has already formed - two hours before we open. Ugh. Really wish we could get more Pokémon.
New Game Expansions to Elevate Your Tabletop Adventures!
- Splendor: The Sun Never Sets Expansion – Just when you thought your gem empire was safe, in comes more ways to outshine your friends.
- Santorini 2nd Edition: Riddle of the Sphinx Expansion – You might not actually unlock the mysteries of the universe, but you will have a great time trying.
Mythical Dice from Hachette Board Games is Here!
We’re unreasonably excited about this one—it has Minotaurs! And given our store is literally named Labyrinth, we feel this is destiny. The game includes seven types of dice: minotaurs, griffins, mermaids and four types of numerical dice. The game lasts from 6 to 8 rounds, depending on the number of players, and at each turn each player draws from the bag a number of dice equal to the current hand, e.g. five dice for the fifth hand, then places them behind his or her folding screen. After collecting their dice, each player simultaneously bids the number of tricks they think they can win during the round. Win the correct number of tricks and you may become the next Labyrinth champion!
New Boulder Return to Earth Deck Boxes (133+ Size)
Right now we only have blue, but more colors are coming - perfect for storing your cards. Environmentally friendly and stylish—what more could a card collector want?
Puzzle People, Rejoice!
We’ve got new Ceaco puzzles for every mood:
- Snoopy Fly (300 pieces) – Because even Snoopy deserves a bit of air time.
- Underwater Octopus Glow-in-the-Dark (750 pieces) – Warning: This octopus has absolutely no chill.
- Peggy’s Garden – Joy in the Morning (1000 pieces) – A peaceful way to start your day (assuming you don’t lose that one corner piece).
- Thomas Kinkade’s The Wizard of Oz (750 pieces) – Follow the yellow brick puzzle pieces!
- The Spectacular Spider-Man (500 pieces) – Web-sling your way through this one.
- Magical Mushrooms (300 pieces) – Delightfully whimsical and possibly a bit suspicious, like any good mushroom should be.
And Finally… Ever Wanted to Learn Magic: The Gathering?
This Saturday from 1pm to 5pm, we’re hosting a totally free, super chill event to teach you how to play one of the most popular card games in the world. No registration required, no experience needed—just show up and learn from some friendly folks who really love the game.
And, if you already know the basics, but dream of playing in a prerelease or draft one day, join us for our Deck Building class on Sunday! $35, which covers the booster packs needed to participate, and registration required!
Come by, say hi, and discover something magical (or at least mildly sparkly). See you soon!
