Modern Horizons 3 has finally arrived, and everyone had a blast at prerelease this past weekend.

 

Now that prerelease is behind us, we have a whole slate of fun events to look forward to. This Friday will be our release day draft of Modern Horizons 3! The set is complex but fun, and we hope you’ll come Friday to see for yourself what a blast it is.

 

The following two weeks (the 21st and 28th) will see the return of Modern constructed in the main space, as we ramp up for our Master of Modern tournament on Saturday, June 29th. During that time we’ll be running some limited access drafts. On the 21st we'll draft Mystery Booster Convention Edition, and on the 28th we’ll be drafting Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty. The last event to mention is our special Magic Presents: Pride event on Sunday June 30th. Participating in this event earns you an exclusive rainbow foil art featuring art by Anh Nguyen. During the event, all commanders have Partner, allowing you to brew up an extra special deck. We have limited space, so be sure to register soon.

 

This week’s featured single is the Judge Promo Zur the Enchanter. Although legal in modern, Zur the Enchanter sees play almost exclusively in Commander. For four mana, you get an evasive commander that tutors for enchantments every time it attacks. Over time this can allow you to assemble a hefty collection of difficult to remove permanents that can heavily swing a game in your favor. This particular copy is a Judge Promo, originally gifted to members of the officially recognized judge program in 2016. The only way to acquire this card initially was to be a judge in good standing at that time, which makes this quite the collectible card.
