This camp is for kids 7+.
Game Design Camp is a week of unplugged gaming fun brought to you by the game experts of Capitol Hill’s Labyrinth Games & Puzzles! Campers will become mad game scientists as they explore and analyze a wide range of classic and modern strategic games, experiment with game mechanics and components, and stitch together their own Frankengame. Campers will present their games to each other, and playtest the games created by their new friends. Through it all, they’ll develop important skills like patience, collaboration, and strategic and analytical thinking.
After-Camp: Labyrinth After-Camp will be available for the week of Kids' Game Design Camp. Participants are not automatically signed up for After-Camp, you MUST sign up through this link to make sure they have a spot.
In order to sign up for Game Design Camp, please complete this registration form once for each child attending.
COVID PRECAUTIONS: Our COVID policy will be set for Game Club a month before it begins depending on the current data and discussions with our staff. Proof of vaccination and masking while at the event may be required. Safety is our top priority, and this event will have limited capacity.
Labyrinth Game Club Guidelines
- Please let us know if your child will be absent or late for any and all days of Summer Camp. We want to make sure everyone is safe and arrives when they are expected.
- Lidded water bottles are encouraged.
- You must send a lunch with each participant, please be considerate of possible allergies, and do not pack anything containing nuts.
- Labyrinth may provide snacks at Summer Camp. Please list any and all allergies above.
Medical Waiver
Should it be necessary for my child to have medical treatment while participating in Labyrinth’s Game Club, I hereby give Labyrinth Games & Puzzles’ personnel permission to use their judgment in obtaining medical services, and I give permission to the physician selected by Labyrinth’s personnel to render medical treatment deemed necessary and appropriate by the physician. I understand that Labyrinth Games & Puzzles has no insurance covering such medical or hospital costs incurred; therefore, any cost incurred for such treatment shall be my sole responsibility.
Media Release
I give permission for my child (listed above under "Child's Name"), who will be a participant in Labyrinth Games & Puzzles’ Summer Game Club to be filmed, photographed, and/or interviewed during the camp session.
Injury and Medical Waiver
I acknowledge that my child will participate in playing games and puzzles at Labyrinth Games & Puzzles. I agree to hold Labyrinth Games and Puzzles and its agents blameless in event of accidental injury. I, as well as my child, agree to follow the directions and instructions of Labyrinth Game Club personnel while participating in the Game Club. I have read and understand the foregoing statement and agree to assume the responsibility stated and waive all claims. I agree not to bring any lawsuit in any form, for any injury, loss or damage occurring in whole or in part as a result of participation.
I have reviewed the information provided to Labyrinth Games and Puzzles and affirm that it is accurate to the best of my knowledge, including any information about allergies or medical conditions that the staff may be required to provide assistance for. I understand that in the event of emergency, Labyrinth may be unable to contact me prior to contacting medical professionals. Therefore, Labyrinth Games and Puzzles has my permission to contact medical professionals as necessary to provide care
